Ready pre-packaged meals delivered to the recently liberated Kherson area. It was the first time people in some small villages had received humanitarian help since the beginning of the war. The stories that emerge from Kalinivske, Krasnolyubetsk, Bobrovy Kut, Mala Seideminukha, Novohrednev, and Tamarine are harrowing. After being forced out, Russian occupiers left behind destruction, death and ever-present danger. Some of the stories our volunteers heard are horrifying: "My husband went fishing, and blew himself up on a mine...", "Grandfather went to get firewood and exploded on a mine..."

The housing is also in critical condition. The roofs are broken and leaking, given the bombardment sustained to date. There is no electricity or gas and no fuel to heat the stove. Drinking water is also in short supply.
