Our psychologists at Varto Zhyty working in the call center for the psychological support of military personnel and their families, underwent offline training conducted by psychologist and CBT therapist Alex Galchinski – a military veteran with 25 years of service, a Major in the Israeli Defense Forces, who participated in combat operations, experienced injuries, and loss of comrades. Drawing from his experience, he understands combat psychological trauma and, most importantly, what aids stabilization and recovery for the military. Alex Galchinski is an expert, supervisor, and founder of the "Steps" center (Israel) and "Cieply Dom" (Poland).

Sharing the key topics with you:

- A soldier is an individual with a unique experience, capable of overcoming any challenges. The psychologist merely assists in understanding why and how, providing choices, resources, and support in the process.

- Combat psychological trauma in a soldier arises when the intensity of the experienced event exceeds adaptive potential.

- Worked on protocols for clients with suicidal thoughts, intentions, and attempts.

- Thoroughly addressed the topic of loss of comrades from the perspective of working with the psyche dealing with grief.

- Paid special attention to conducting psychotherapeutic groups, considering the dynamics in military groups compared to civilian ones.

Your support made this training possible.
