The Varto Zhyty helpline is an all-Ukrainian center providing qualified psychological assistance, where any adult in Ukraine can call the short number 5522 and receive a free consultation from a professional psychologist.

The helpline employs 188 specialists:
- 88 psychologists and psychotherapists for the helpline serving civilians, cancer patients, and their family members
- 85 psychologists and psychotherapists for the helpline serving soldiers, veterans, and their relatives
- 15 specialists in the back-office team

Psychologists and psychotherapists have between 3 to 15 years of experience in providing psychological assistance. They are experienced in working with military personnel, veterans, prisoners of war, families of deceased and missing combatants, cancer patients, and their family members. They have received training from leading specialists in Ukraine in military-related work and completed a course from Israeli experts through the MASHAV program "Psychosocial Support for Defenders and Their Families," organized by the MASHAV Carmel Training Center in partnership with the Israel Trauma Coalition.

The specialists at the Varto Zhyty also have experience conducting therapeutic and support groups for combatants and their families in hospitals, and social and psychological service centers. They work from various cities across Ukraine and abroad
