The Bomb shelter in Zaporizhzhia was funded by UUA and opened just before the Russian army rapidly increased its attack on the city.

Zaporizhzhia, the city in the South-East of Ukraine with a population of around 750k people, is struggling with constant Russian rocket and drone attacks.

As the distance to the front line is less than 100 km, there is a very short alert time to reach the shelter in time. As a result, more than 200 local children, children of refugees from the Mariupol area, the elderly and people with disabilities constantly stay in this bomb shelter.
