In addition to physical injuries, the war in Ukraine has caused significant psychological distress. UUA is committed to supporting Varto Zhyty a psychological helpline in Ukraine. Here are the statistics for calls received in July 2024:
- Men: 50%
- Women: 48%
- Silent clients or no gender specified: 2%
- Military personnel: 49%
- Loved ones of military personnel, friends, and colleagues: 43%
- Veterans of the ATO in Eastern Ukraine: 2%
- Civilians with crisis requests: 4%
- Average duration of a counselling session: 48 minutes
- Most sessions in one day: 29 (on July 12)
- Longest counselling session: 1 hour 59 minutes
